Hi, I 'm Hans,

I am a Senior Engineer based in Brooklyn, NY. In my work I have been fortunate to help launch consumer products and core infrastructure impacting millions of people. Currently, I am building new Modeling Technologies for Instagram Ranking Infrastructure.

My passion for usable and performant AI infrastructure helps launch critical consumer products. I specialize in large scaling C++ infrastructure for AI products.

I have 10+ years of professional software development experience in C++, Node.js, Python and others with technical leadership in heavily matrixed organizations, early and late stage startup environments. I lead work streams for many engineers, launch new infrastructure with many 100s kQPS, critically improve resource efficiency and usability of core infrastructure at Meta. I completed PhD research in the department of Computer Science (Parallel Processing) at Santa Clara University and have a background in Mechatronics Engineering.

I work closely with AI Researchers, Data Scientist and Program Managers and always seek to develop good documentation and processes in my collaborations. I thrive on the relationships formed both by and through the process of my work.
